Why do I see clouding or fogging between the panes of glass on my VELUX skylight?

Clouding or fogging occurs in a VELUX skylight when there is a break in the inner seal between the glass panes, which causes condensation to form between the two panes.

All VELUX units manufactured after January 1, 2000, have a 20-year seal warranty. So, if clouding or another problem with the seal arises, first obtain the serial number from the skylight. Here is a list of skylights and the locations of the serial numbers.
