A flexible Sun Tunnel® has a metalized plastic tube that easily bends to maneuver around obstacles that might be in an attic space. A Flexible Sun Tunnel® can be used with a tube up to 8 feet long, but the shorter the tube, the brighter the light.
A rigid Sun Tunnel® comes with a stiff metal tube polished to a reflective finish. This skylight is recommended when there is a straight, unobstructed path from the roof deck to the ceiling. The light is generally brighter with a rigid sun tunnel, and it is excellent for long runs.
