Help CenterFor electric-powered skylights, the power comes from the circuit breaker or a switch, depending on how the electrician hard-wires the skylight. There is not a separate power switch located on the skylight for electric skylights.
VELUX solar-powered skylights do have an ON/OFF switch on the skylights themselves. This switch is located on the bottom, left-hand side of the frame. To turn the skylight on, set the switch to the right, towards the number 1. To turn the skylight off, set the switch to the left, towards the O.
Pictured below, deck-mounted units generally have a plastic cover over the opening to the switch. Curb-mounted units do not have a cover.
