How do I install a VELUX shade in my skylight?

VELUX Skylight Systems already include a pre-installed skylight shade and remote controls.

For older skylights that didn't come with shades, they can still be added.

Depending on the existing VELUX skylight, there are different steps for installing a new skylight shade.

For a VELUX venting skylight, a VELUX fixed curb-mounted skylight (FCM), or a VELUX self-flashed fixed skylight (QPF), use this guide for installing or replacing a skylight shade.
