Help CenterThe skylight shade cords route from the head casing down the sides of the shade, behind each rail. It is important the cords are positioned correctly at the head casing and do not twist down the sides during installation. The cords should not be visible if installed correctly.
If the cords are installed improperly, the shade will make a loud sound and generally travel crooked. The strings may also be loose or visible.
To re-route the cords, the shade must be uninstalled.
