I would like to operate the products on my basic remote independently.

Unfortunately, this feature is not available with our basic KLI remotes. The basic remote can hold data for multiple products, but it can only operate these products in unison.

To operate multiple skylights or shades independently with one remote, you will need to upgrade to either the VELUX Touch Remote or VELUX ACTIVE control and app system.

VELUX Touch Remote

The VELUX Touch is a digital touchscreen remote that can operate both skylights and shades from one place. This remote features programming capabilities, including automation, that are not available with a basic remote.

VELUX ACTIVE

VELUX ACTIVE is an app-based system that allows you to control all of your VELUX products from your smartphone or device.

The full VELUX ACTIVE starter kit includes a gateway to connect your VELUX products with your home's WiFi, a departure switch to close all skylights and shades as you're leaving, and a climate sensor that monitors your home's indoor climate based on your ideal preferences. This system allows full automation, customization, and scheduling capabilities.

A simpler version of VELUX ACTIVE is also available that includes the gateway and app control. This version allows you to turn your smartphone into a remote with all basic programming and scheduling capabilities. This version does not feature indoor climate monitoring.
