Resetting your remote will clear it back to factory settings. This is usually done when other troubleshooting methods are not working.

If you're resetting your remote, all products attached to the remote will need to be reset as well. This process is not difficult, but it does require physically accessing the product.

Reset the remote.

First, press a paperclip or similar tool into the gear icon hole on the bottom of the remote for 1 second. Follow this immediately by pressing the paperclip into the pairing icon hole next to the gear icon hole.

After the remote is reset, use the up/down arrows to test the remote. Confirm that the remote no longer operates your product. If the product still responds, perform the reset procedure again.
